Main Characters:
Chests
S.iron uses fixed conventional chests, which has been proven since more than 40 years, to last longer than 20 years.
The S.iron has a rigid chest with a mirror-polished surface and large flow channels for consistent and even heat circulation, ensuring a flawless finish.
The ironing bed has wide fluid channels delivering more capacity for transmitting heat to the linen. This results in high ironing speeds and top quality finishing. The wide channels assure a uniform heating of the entire ironing surface and avoid cold spots. The chests are machined after welding and are tested at a pressure of 30 bars. A final mirror finish
reduces friction and creates excellent ironing results.
The chests are made of top grade steel plates and have an extra fine polishing to ensure a long life for padding and tapes on the ironer.
Heavy-duty rigid chests, extra fine polished to give an even heat circulation and a high
evaporation capacity through the wide channels. The mirror finishing assures a top
ironing result.
Roll
The perforated / punched surface ensures regular steam flows. The construction with low-weight cross beams offers a high stability and fulfills highest quality standards. Lengthwise pressure along the roll is constant in order to keep ironing uniform.
A floating, self-aligning system allows the ironer to self adjust wear of the padding, thermal expansions and mechanical stresses. This system maintaines constant pressure distribution during the life of the ironer.
Flexible control
The S.iron uses a modern PLC and 10 inch color touchscreen, which is simple to program and operate. It offers total control over every ironing parameter, including ironing speed, chest temperature, pneumatic roll pressure. The control offers up to 100 custom ironing recipes to meet item-specific ironing requirements.
Pressure is the key to ensure a consistent and quality finish. The pressure can be adjusted to fit the specific needs of different textile types. Simultaneously, the ironer’s bed alignment system ensures uniform lengthwise pressure. This offers the best possible ironing results based on textile type.
The controller can interface via several different types, assuring an easy way of integrating with feeders and folders of all common brands
Thermal insulation
Thermal High Tech Insulation panels cover the ironer for significant gains in efficiency, productivity and a comfortable working environment. Heat stays inside the ironer, keeping the motors and other components in the shoulders of the machine at a safe temperature, resulting in a long life
Independant drive
The S.iron has an independant drive, including one inverter per roll. This is an advanced way to control electronically the speed of each roll without having belts or other dangerous power transmissions in the way. No adjustments are needed and no maintenance needs to be done on the transmissions of power. Belts, pulleys, chains and greasing are eliminated, reducing maintenance and associated breakdowns.It is all direct power and safely accessible
Central Air evacuation system
The S.iron has a central and modular air evacuation system. Air evacuation is relative to the amount of evaporated water, so each roll needs its own independent setting which is also related to the production speed setting.
Tape tensioning system
The ironer tape tensioning is of the hinge type. It can be located at the front or at the rear of the ironer elevated so it is easily accessible from the top of the ironer. Optionally it is equiped with an automatic movement system (ATIAS) to avoid impressions of the tape in the padding, improving the finishing quality.
The tape system can be combined with a scraper system on the last roll, to completely iron out tapes impressions in the last roll.
